General Trades and Site Concrete

Jungclaus-Campbell is proud to be performing the general trades and site concrete packages at the new, state-of-the art, Indianapolis Fire Department Training Academy on the City’s Far Eastside. 

The project consists of:

  • The renovation of a 3-story, 70,000 square foot building, which will house IFD’s offices, arson investigation, and special operations units.

  • An 8,000 square foot addition with a drying room and three extra-large fire truck bays.

  • 124,000 square feet of heavy duty concrete pavement, designed to accommodate fire trucks, which Jungclaus crews placed using a three-dimensional laser screed.

  • A new, 3-story live burn structure, and a 6-story tower, which sit within the paved area.

Without its own facility for over 40 years, IFD will now have the largest and most advanced fire training academy in the State of Indiana.
